Woman beat elderly stepmother with lead pipe

Charlene Rogers, a 54-year-old Houston woman, has been charged with injury to an elderly person after she beat her step-mother with a lead pipe.

According to Police, Rogers and her step-mother got into an argument that day, and Rogers told her step-mother to leave.

As the elderly woman was walking out, Rogers hit her from behind.

The step-mother said she tried to push Rogers away with her cane, and then Rogers said “I’ve got something for you” and went back into her bedroom.

Authorities say Rogers hit her step-mother in the arm, stomach and leg.

Rogers has admitted to hitting the elderly woman with the pipe, but claims it was in self-defense because she thought her step-mother was going for a gun.
