Credit-card thefts reported at League City churches
League City Police are searching for two male suspects in a string of credit-card thefts at Galveston County churches.
Reports of the thefts began first in June, in Nassau Bay, then another was reported in July, and a third in September.
Police reported that in the July case, the suspects entered the church inquiring about childcare. As one suspect toured the campus, the other allegedly stole credit-cards out of a church employee’s purse.
In the case from September, the credit-cards were stolen from a vehicle in the church parking lot.
According to police, the suspects were caught on surveillance video using the stolen cards at local stores – in both the July and September cases.
Suspects were seen driving a newer-model white Chevy Suburban or GMC Denali with chrome wheels.
