Calif. Man Fired Shots in Parking Lot of Mall
A man in southern Calif. was arrested on Saturday for firing 50 shots at an open-air shopping mall.
Police in Newport Beach arrested Marcos Sarinana Gurrola, 42, after he told them that he had additional ammo in his vehicle. No one was hit by the raining bullets, but one person suffered minor injuries while running around in a panicked state. Many of the mall’s stores locked their doors to protect shoppers and employees.
The incident happened one day after a tragic elementary school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut that left 27 people dead.
