Prosecutors: Girls Forced to Work as Prostitutes
A man and woman in Chicago are accused of sexually assaulting two teenage girls and coercing them into a life of prostitution.
According to prosecutors, Matthew D. Casey, 23, had intercourse with a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old while his girlfriend Kimberly Adams, 28, pinned them down. They also allegedly forced the victims to engage in sexual acts with other people for money.
Casey met one of the teenagers while riding Chicago’s public transit system. He found the other one in recent weeks. The girls revealed to law enforcement officers that the defendant intimidated them with threats and made them sell their bodies. Adams denies that she and Casey forced the teens to have sex. She claims it was the girls’ idea to work as prostitutes. She said her co-defendant earned money by serving as their bodyguard. Casey admits that he robs others, but he avoids committing other offenses.
Casey’s bail is set at $200,000, while Adams’ is $100,000.
