North Texas Teacher Arrested for Hit and Run
A north Texas teacher surrendered to Grand Prairie police on Tuesday for causing a hit and run accident that left a young boy dead.
The victim’s mother and sister watched in horror as a car ran a red light and hit John Raidy, 6, as he crossed the street on Thursday.
Tammy Lowe, 53, taught at Adams Middle School. She was initially accused of injury to a child, but she now faces a manslaughter charge in addition to a “failure to stop and render aid” charge. Her bond was set at $100,000.
