Man Receives Life Sentence for Sexual Assault on a Child
Michael Joseph Snowden, a 21-year-old repeat sex offender was looking at child pornography at a public library in November, 2010.
An 8-year-old and his 6-year-old brother had gone into the restroom with their father to change into their swimsuits. The father had forgotten the swimsuits in the car and left his kids to disrobe in the stall.
Upon seeing the father leave the stall, Snowden entered the bathroom and crawled under the stall doors where the boys were.
“I crawled under,” Said Snowden. “I molested him.”
When police were called to the scene, Snowden was hiding in a nearby stall. He was arrested for sexual assault of a child under age 14.
District Judge Randy Toll sentenced Snowden to life in prison on Thursday.
