A prison guard from the Federal Detention Center in downtown Houston has been accused of paying over $440 in exchange for sexual favors from a past inmate he met during her incarceration. The guard, Robert Louis Zeigler, is now being charged with improper sexual activity with a person in custody, a state jail felony punishable by a minimum of two years imprisonment.
The relationship between Zeigler and the woman is said to have started when the woman was in prison and continued once she entered a half-way house, where he began paying her bills in exchange for sex.
Zeigler and his Houston criminal attorney have not been available for comment as of yet.
