			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Houston police are searching for a bank robber they have dubbed the &#8220;Tall, Dark and Handsome Bandit.&#8221;</p>
<p>The man held up the Comerica Bank on the southwest freeway Thursday around noon.</p>
<p>Investigators say that he didn&#8217;t have a weapon but instead he simply smiled and demanded money from a teller.</p>
<p>No one was hurt during the robbery.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Harris county police are investigating a shooting outside a north Harris country flea market that left 2 people dead Sunday evening.</p>
<p>Deputies arrived at 8800 block of Airline to find two people shot to death in a parking lot shortly after 7p.m.</p>
<p>Witnesses say that the two men began arguing with the suspect when the suspect began shooting at the men in a crowded parking lot.</p>
<p>The two men were pronounced dead at the scene.  The suspect is still on the loose.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Three Houston teens have been arrested on murder charges of a man in Harris county on December 30.</p>
<p>Williams Jhonatan Rodrigues, Jonathan Bolz and Alexis Torres, all 19-year-old, were charged with murder of 25-year-old Omar Malik.</p>
<p>Investigators say that neighbors saw Malik arriving at his home in the 4400 block of Sloangate around 1a.m. the morning of his death.  Shortly after his arrival they reported hearing gunshots.</p>
<p>Malik was found dead in front of his home.</p>
<p>According to court documentation, the three men were trying to rob Malik when the shooting occurred.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Houston police are asking for the public&#8217;s help in finding the suspect in a New Year&#8217;s Eve murder.</p>
<p>Louis Rojas, 24, has been charged with shooting and killing his ex-wife&#8217;s husband, Louis Ernesto Lopera, around 5:30pm on December 31, 2011.</p>
<p>Rojas was at his ex-wife&#8217;s house talking to her about their 5-year-old daughter.  According to investigators, Rojas shot Lopera multiple times and then fled the scene.</p>
<p>Lopera, 41, was found mortally wounded near the 18000 block of Wildcombe Drive where he was taken to the hospital but died later that day.</p>

<p>All four men are charged in violation of the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act.</p>
<p>Police say that three of the four men had tattoos of white supremacist gang tattoos.  The indictment says that the victim, 29-year-old Yondell Johnson, was punched, kicked and taunted by racial slurs while waiting for a bus.</p>
<p>If convicted, each could face up to ten years in prison.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Houston police ended the chase of a high speed pursuit allowing the suspect to drive away only to end up arresting him at a home in southeast Houston.</p>
<p>The chase began on Wednesday around 1:30a.m. near the 610 Loop South and Fannin.  Police were attempting to pull over a Dodge Durango for a speeding violation when the driver refused to stop.</p>
<p>The suspect reached speeds of over 100 mph and as a precautionary measure a sergeant with the Houston police ended the pursuit.</p>
<p>Police later learned that the suspect had parked the SUV in the driveway of a home in southeast Houston where the driver was then arrested.</p>

<p>The suspect is described as being in his 20s, standing about 5&#8217;5&#8243; tall and weighs approximately 145lbs.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A senior at North Forest High School was arrested after sneaking a gun into school and shooting a fellow classmate in the leg.</p>
<p>The 18-year-old Warren Lewis was charged with aggrevated assault after he shot a 16-year-old freshman in the hallway of the school and is currently being held in Harris County Jail.</p>
<p>Sue Davis, North Forest ISD spokeswoman, said that Lewis was previously in a dispute outside of the school and that the victim was not the intended target.</p>
<p>The victim is in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Police think that a suspect charged with an aggravated assault of a Sugar Land Hallmark store may be connected to at least 15 similar burglaries in Houston, Stafford and Webster.</p>
<p>William Thomas Tucker confessed to robbing Trudy&#8217;s Hallmark, on southwest Fry, on January 2.</p>
<p>Around 3:45p.m. Tucker walked into the store with a gun and demanded cash from the register.  Tucker then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.</p>
<p>Police located Tucker&#8217;s truck later that day and gave chase but had to abandon the pursuit due to traffic concern.  Tucker was arrested a couple days after.</p>
<p>He is currently being held in Fort Bend County Jail on a $50,000 bond.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Long Vo, a 52-year-old Houston man, was sentenced to 192 months in prison for conspiracy to possess and distribute ecstasy.</p>
<p>The IRS and FBI had initiated a complex investigation into the Houston Asian criminal enterprise in 2008.  The investigation determined that Vo was the leader of the underground organization of various drug smuggling operations.</p>
<p>During the course of the investigation, Vo was linked to the distribution of over 300,000 ecstasy pills to under cover agents.</p>
<p>More than 20 pounds of ecstasy pills were seized at his residence during the arrest and subsequent search on July 13, 2010.</p>
